The earliest known races between humans date back to the Sumerians 2,000 years before Christ. The desire to know “who is fastest” seems somewhat intrinsic to mankind.

In Logan County, Ohio, over 4,000 years later, the answer for the area High Schools is Jack Bahan.

The West Liberty-Salem senior is putting together a near-perfect season. In two meets last week (Champaign County, Benjamin Logan), Bahan went a perfect 7-0 in the 100M, 200M, 4X100M, and 4X200M races. His 100M (11.12) and 200M (22.58) times set new WL-S records.

The returning state qualifier leads an ultra-talented group of Tigers with sights set on a post-season run.
