If Garage Sports were to give out post-season awards, Indian Lake’s Brodey Reisinger would be the Most Valuable Player award winner without much debate. The Junior wide receiver/defensive back leads the county in receiving yards, receptions, touchdown receptions, and interceptions.
The Laker saved his best game of the season for week 10 vs Northwestern. Reisinger ensured the Lakers an outright Central Buckeye: Mad River division crown with 7 catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns. The offensive numbers are expected from the Laker junior, but his 3 interceptions, including 2 returned for touchdowns, were what made his night historic.
The Lakers finished the season 8-2, earning a first round bye in the Division V Region 20 playoffs. They will await the winner of Preble Shawnee and Arcanum in a round two.
The Lakers enter tournament play as the favorite to win the Regional crown according to Drew Pasteur and Fantastic50.net.
